The Blue ridge mountains, a part of the Appalachin mountain range that spans from Georgia to Maine. The Blue Ridge Mountains are known for having a bluish color when seen from a distance. Trees put the "blue" in Blue Ridge, from the isoprene released into the atmosphere.
I'm surrounding by these beautiful mountains at home in Western NC.  I've lived here for 25+ years and am still awestruck when I see them. 
 
This piece is a little landscape, a little piece of home, made from sterling silver.  A hand sawed pine is soldered onto the frame.   The full moon is hammered and made of brass.
