Inspired by the trillium flower, native to western NC, known historically as "birth root" for its role in aiding women during childbirth. The Trillium is associated with the number 3 with its three petals and three leaves, thought by some to symbolize the holy trinity and by others the stages of womanhood: maiden, mother, and crone. 
 
These little flowers are made from sterling silver, hand sawed and hammered. Ear wires are also sterling silver.
